Food Not Bombs has operated in Peterborough for 12 years.
The group recovers food that would otherwise be thrown out and makes fresh hot vegan and vegetarian meals that are served outside in public spaces.
ANYONE is welcome to the community feast – including students, children, and adults – without restriction.
Look at the line up of people who attend!
A portion of the food is donated by the Farmer’s Market to help divert food waste from landfill.
Food Not Bombs has no formal leaders and strives to include everyone in its decision making process.
Many Food Not Bombs groups share groceries and organize other efforts to support their communities. Each independent group also serves free meals at other events.
The event also encourages individuals to bring their own reusable take home containers to the community feasts.
YOU CAN EAT WITH FOOD NOT BOMBS ON MONDAY NIGHTS AT THEIR COMMUNITY FEASTS ALL YEAR ROUND, REGARDLESS OF THE WEATHER!
Food Not Bombs Peterborough takes place every single Monday from 6:30-7:30 PM at Confederation (Cenotaph) Park across from Peterborough City Hall (500 George North).
Happy 12th Year Anniversary!!!
Thank you to all the incredible volunteers, like the cooks and organizers, for the important work you do for our community & the environment on a weekly basis – it is truly inspiring!
