A green dream..that isn’t rubbish.

This group has a green dream...

And it certainly isn’t rubbish!

A group of Trent University students and Mark Murdoch, the Director of Food Services, volunteer their time to count and sort through garbage. They believe that the information they gather can help encourage people to put their waste in the right place.

Syerra Turry, a journalism student and the Food Services Sustainability Coordinator on campus, says:

Reducing waste is incredibly important. We only get one ‪#‎planet‬ to live on, so we should probably start taking care of it. We are conducting a baseline waste audit and then launching a competition to see which cafeteria can sort their waste the most effectively!”

The dream?
Perfectly sorted ‪#‎garbage‬!

Don’t trash the planet.
